Two years out of the Land Of Nobody: The Why
Over the last two years, this blog has remained in a kind of limbo without any actualization. The main cause, or causes, are, first of all, the policies on Tumblr that become more and more restrictive. The once prolific creative community have lost most of the best curators and they have been replaced by algorithms which suddenly started push all the great content to the background and promoting irrelevant and poorly categorized stuff.
The second cause was that, in these last two years, I have joined a Post graduation course, and I’m finishing now my master’s degree in design.
In fact, for many time I’ve curated this blog with care and I had a lot of joy on making it. It was an enriching experience that contributed a lot to my visual culture. I’ve also discovered and helped to promote a lot of designers with great works. But, at the end of the day, this was a time-consuming task without any economic return, and I was struggling to pay my graduation fees.
I’ve started to dedicate some of my time promoting my stores were I sell illustrations to support my master’s degree. On the other hand, for this blog, it was the announcement of a slow and painful death. However, I’ve never considered closing this page. I consider that I’ve managed to curate a lot of excellent works on the fields of design, arts, illustration, and so on, that could inspire a lot of people. Maybe, deep on me, some kind of hope remains that things change and that I could recover this page. For now, I still struggling to complete my degree and to pay my bills. If you want to help, please consider buying something from my stores at:
